Message lead to idle problems. Not all sensor malfunctions throw a code either. Typically rough running at idle is related to unmetered air admission or incorrect sensor info reaching the ECU. I recently re-did my injectors (#6 failed after 18 years) and noticed an inordinate amount of corrosion on all the square conectors. Not so on others. These are used on the early style injectors, temp sensor, IACV, regulator and a/c idle speed up valve (has a name I can't remember).

If problem seems related to #6 (what a bitch, can't gain access to that 1 w/o removing the balance tube) and coil swap made no difference, perhaps it is an itermitent connection problem. My car has a nice idle, circa 850, but it is not perfect. I do detect a bit of hesitation here and there. I replaced all the injector connectors with soldered newer style ones and cleaned and greased all others I encountered during the plenum pull. Good luck finding the cause of your problem. A new harness would serve to rule out some of the possibilities.
